The LIBME Imbiber

As the elected president (and co-founder) of the Long Island Beer And Malt Enthusiasts, I have proposed and implemented three distinct committees to perform needed tasks for our blossoming group, which is known for its events and volunteer work to corporate entities, breweries, and in the media centers of Long Island, NY. These working committees will define their own objectives and establish their own identities, under loose guidelines written by the Executive and Trustees of the LIBME, as well as serve the greater group’s needs for the future. These three committees will be:

1. Brewing- To establish a unit for quality control of what we display at beer shows. It will work to educate the group’s membership through brewing sessions and will choose the brewers to participate in future events where the LIBME is attending.

2. Membership & Marketing-To establish a unit not only to advertise the LIBME to the greater public, but to care for the existing membership we have.

3. Events- To establish a group to dream up new things for us to do and to make the existing ones better. If we do the same things over and over, I hope that can learn from any mistakes and improve our standing in the next round.

I hope this will be fun and enjoyable to all those valued members who have volunteered even further in our quest to support the growing craft beer culture of Long Island , NY.

Beermalt.org will be re-organized into a working site beyond this page later this year, after a few group objectives have been completed, such as our 501c3 filing.
